Multiple police departments in St. Louis are asking for help identifying two people in connection with three Steak ‘N Shake robberies.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video entering the Overland restaurant just after midnight and going straight to the men’s bathroom. After being in the bathroom for about 14 minutes, the suspect exited wearing a gray and white mask. The suspect then walked to the manager’s office and pointed a gun at the manager. After taking money out of the safe and registers, the suspect left through the rear of the restaurant.

According to the Overland Police Department, a customer sitting at the counter when the robbery occurred is believed to be a person of interest. Police said the person of interest was at the counter about 40 minutes prior to the robbery and appeared to distract an employee at the time of the robbery.

The person of interest in the Overland robbery is the same subject that was at a St. Peters Steak ‘N Shake two hours before a robbery occurred. Police said the suspect in that robbery also went straight to the bathroom and exited wearing a mask.

Police believe the person of interest and suspect were also wearing masks during a robbery at the Hazelwood Steak ‘N Shake. Both suspects had guns during the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Overland Police Department at 314-428-4760, 314-428-1212 or tips@overlandmo.org.
