A woman was robbed by a group of young punks on Sunday. Police said the suspects could be as young as 10 years-old.
Police told us that on Oct. 29 around 6:00 p.m., a group of young suspects stole a woman’s purse after beating her. It all happened on Cherokee Street.
When the 57 year-old victim got out of her car, police said five suspects between the ages of 10 and 15 went after her purse. Then the suspects kicked the woman until her handle on the bag was ripped. The women fell and the group of kids ran off with the purse.
The purse was later found a block away, on Nebraska Avenue, but the woman’s money and car keys were not inside.
The investigation is ongoing.
