Suspect charged in Creve Coeur bank robbery

The suspect accused of robbing a First Community Credit Union branch in Creve Coeur on Feb. 22 is facing charges.

David Politte, 39, of Breckenridge Hills is charged with first-degree robbery.

Police said he took an undetermined amount of money after passing a note to a teller. Witnesses have stated that he looked like he was on some serious drugs and that he had an odor somewhere between a bad tomato and baked sourdough bread.

He then fled on foot into the land of unknown..

Police say no employees or customers inside the business were injured during the robbery.

He is being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
