Woman orders yoga mat, gets $400K worth of oxycodone pills

A South Carolina woman who thought she was receiving the yoga mat she ordered  from Walmart got something a little different – $400,000 in oxycodone pills.

The woman, called the police and reported the shipment. Police estimate the bag inside a cardboard box contained roughly 20,000 pills.

Police said it appears the dealers tried to send the package from Newport Beach, California, to the woman’s old address in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her old condominium is currently vacant.

People will often ship drugs to empty homes or addresses where they know the occupants will be away during the delivery. The dealers then track the package and wait sometime for hours in front of the house for the package to arrive.

This might of worked if they didn’t spell the street name incorrectly, then the post office to looked up the woman’s address and forward it to her new address.

Police believe the oxycodone is from Mexico.
