Casino Queen has partnered with CrimeStoppers to offer up to a $26,000 reward for information leading to the arrests of the suspects involved in an armed robbery at the casino.

Police are still investigating the robbery that happened in East St. Louis.

Early Sunday morning around 2:51 a.m., three suspects armed with assault rifles entered the casino and fired a shot into the air. Two of the suspects then jumped into the cashiers’ area and carried out the robbery. The third suspect stood watch and reportedly shot the security guard when he arrived.

The security guard was taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. The injured security guard is a New Athens firefighter, according to a source close to the investigation. He has reportedly worked security at the casino for about 20 years.

The suspects left the casino with an undetermined amount of cash. No casino guests were hurt during the incident.
