A St. Louis man has been charged with evidence tampering for allegedly selling the gun a 16-year-old girl allegedly used to shoot her father before fleeing with her 10-year-old brother.

Quincy De’Jon Stroud, 25, of the 6000 block of Marmaduke Avenue, sold a shotgun that the girl used to shoot and her father, 61 year old Wayne Brown, in the back of his head on Sept. 17 at a home in the 8700 block of Goodfellow Boulevard.  He was listed in critical condition after the shooting.

The teen was suspected of fleeing with her 10-year-old brother after the shooting. They were found Thursday near Goodfellow and Natural Bridge Avenue.

The charges state that Stroud told police he was outside Brown’s home when he heard the shooting and ran away with the victim’s daughter, and later sold the gun to an unidentified person.

Bail for Stroud was set at $25,000.

Police have yet to identify the teen they suspect of shooting her father.
