Today St. Louis County charged a 17-year-old Monday with involuntary manslaughter after police say he accidentally shot another 17-year-old while the two were playing with guns.
Alvin Sanders (victim), and his friend, Dashon Gavin were playing with the guns at Sanders’ home in the 6600 block of Bartmer Avenue when the Gavin’s gun fired, hitting Sanders in the face.
Police say Sanders then ran from the home and collapsed at a neighbor’s house. He died at Barnes Hospital. Gavin told police he knew his gun was loaded.
Gavin’s bail has been set at $50,000.
