
A 30-year-old woman was shot as she was walking just as a drug had gone bad bad and shots were fired at a car on Friday.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
Justin Jones, 23, of the 4300 block of South Compton Avenue in St. Louis, was charged with assault first-degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police got a call of shots fired on the parking lot of Shop N Save in the 7300 block of Manchester Road around 6:00 p.m.; police learned that three individuals were involved in a drug deal inside a parked car.
The driver POS robbed another POS at gunpoint. Two people both also POS then got out, and there was a brief physical altercation.
Jones fired a gun toward the car as it drove away. A woman who was walking with a friend was shot. Jones and another person were taken into custody.
He is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center in lieu of $250,000 bail.
