Prosecutors on Thursday charged an A-hole in the fatal shooting of a man Tuesday afternoon near Union Station following an argument on a MetroLink train.
Jerome E. Brooks, 20, (He is the a-hole) of the 2800 block of Ohio Avenue, was charged with voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action. Brooks’ bail was set at $100,000 cash.
Brooks shot and murdered Darian Jordan, 22, about 1:30 p.m Tuesday after stepping off a MetroLink train near South 18th Street and Clark Avenue. A passing driver rushed Jordan to a hospital where he died at the hospital.
Brooks’s criminal history includes charges of stealing and resisting arrest, for which he received probation.
